Villamedia brings daily journalistic trade news and job vacancies for media professionals. With 130,000 unique visitors a month, it is a platform of stature. Villamedia is part of the Netherlands Union of Journalists (NVJ).

The question

Villamedia asked us to come up with a plan of how their new website should work and look in terms of layout. The content had to be presented to users in different ways. Since it is a news website for anyone working in journalism, ways had to be found to recruit subscribers.

Our solution

We analysed the old website and took all parts of it in hand piece by piece. We took into account Villamedia's main goals, as well as the user goals of journalists looking for news, wanting to post a job vacancy or join courses. We translated this into a new layout and then designed and elaborated on the most important parts of the website.

The final result

Villamedia took care of the build itself, so PixelDeluxe worked closely with the developers to ensure that the end result is a great one.
