What are page blocks and why are they important for your website?

Page blocks are the building blocks of a website. Instead of building each page from scratch, you choose from a library of pre-designed blocks that you combine as you see fit. Text, images, video, downloads, a form, each block is individually configurable and together they build the page you need.

Each block is completely designed according to the website's house style. You choose what's on the page, we have predetermined how it looks. This way, the consistency of the website is always maintained, no matter who creates the page.

We work with a fixed set of page blocks available throughout the website. Each block scales automatically on desktop, tablet and mobile. For each project, we tailor these to the needs of the organisation and add customised blocks where necessary.

Image(s) One or more images, configurable as single image, carousel or photo grid. With adjustable display size and width.

Text Rich text editor for articles, introductions and informative sections. With options for text size, background and column width.

Video Adjustable for Vimeo and YouTube. Fully integrated into the page layout.

FAQ Collapsible question-and-answer section. Ideal for frequently asked questions per page.

Form Link with the Freeform forms engine. Any type of form - contact, login, registration - can be used as a page block.

Logos A row of logos, for customers, partners or certifications.

USP Three or more unique selling points side by side. With icon, title and short text for each USP.

Call to action A prominent invitation to action. With adjustable button text, background colour and link.

Quote A quote or testimonial, visually highlighted as a separate section.

Related Automatically or manually compiled selection of related articles, projects or pages. Choose the most recent, favourites or compile your own.

Downloads An overview of downloadable files such as PDFs, reports or brochures.

Statistics Tiles with a number, unit, title and short text. For visually presenting KPIs or sector data such as numbers, percentages or amounts.

Team Tiles with team members including photo, name, function and contact information.

Combination A two-column layout where you choose a different block on the left and right - FAQ, video, form or image(s). For pages that require more variation and visual variety.

Besides the standard boilerplate, we regularly build customised blocks for specific needs. An interactive workscan, an occupational test, a certification search function - if an organisation needs something that is not in the standard set, we build it as a customised block that fits seamlessly with the rest of the website.
